ARUGAM BAY SURF CLUB
The Arugam Bay Surf Club is a registered sports club which is set up to promote the sport of surfing in Arugam Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. The surf club facilitates surfing competition and contests and provides enthusiastic surfers with equipment on rent along with lessons for beginners.
The surf club aims to promote surfing in Arugam Bay in professional and a safe manner, while building awareness about the need to protect our environment and marine life in Arugam Bay and in Sri Lanka.
The Arugam Bay host beach clean-ups and includes local youth in organizing the events. The club also provides surf lessons for the kids of Arugam Bay provided the youth abide by certain club rules.
